Digital Story


We had to do a digital story since adding pictures, video and other media to a story makes it much more interesting and memorable. To plan our digital story, we first made a storyboard to plan the scenes of our story and then we made our story. We had to choose to do a story about the UDL format or a legal issue in educational technology. My project was about the Fair Use Doctrine. I did my project in Powerpoint; however, instead of text boxes, I drew images in Paint and then set them as the background, the Paintshop provided for a convenient transition. My images were a series of stick-figure cartoons telling the story of a teacher who learns how to use the Fair Use Doctrine. I think it is a good way to present information to students. It shows you put some effort into the presentation and it is more visually appealing than the traditional text-box presentation.
